Thank you for registering for the 2021 Race For Grief event! We are excited to offer an in-person and virtual option this year.
For those participating in person, the weather looks perfect in the high 50’s – low 60’s. The event will take place at the West Bountiful Park, 550 West 1600 North (Pages Lanes). Please be aware that there is a possibly of being stopped by a train on the way to the venue, so plan extra time to get there. Packet pick-up will begin at 8 a.m. under the main pavilion and the races will begin at 9 a.m. sharp. As a reminder, this is a non-competitive event. There will be no timing or awards, but random prizes will be given. Be sure to visit the prize table after the event (have your bib number on hand).
Masks:
Please remember to wear your mask. Masks can be removed at your discretion while running, but we ask that you maintain a 6-feet spacing.
Day-of Registration:
If you have a friend or family member that would still like to join in, online registration will remain open through out the morning of the event. They will just need to show the confirmation email at packet pickup/registration to obtain a participant bib. Registering before the morning of is still strongly encouraged.

Please note: Extra shirts are available however there is no size or color guarantee after 5/14. First come. Those registering for the virtual event before 5/14 will have shirts mailed out to them.
Volunteers:
If you are unable to run or walk, then come volunteer. We’d love to have you and will put you to work. This is still a great way to honor your loved one. Please message me at theblonderunner@gmail.com so we can get you information.
Race Route Maps:
As usual all routes (10K, 5K & 2 mile) are out-and-back. The 10K route has been changed due to construction so will continue on the rail-trail. Look for the yellow turn around markings on the asphalt for both the 5K and 10K routes. The two mile walk route will turn around at the first aide station. The second aide station for the 10K route will be self-serve. Race maps can be found on the race website at http://raceforgrief.com/race-information/
Get social:
Please share your stories and experience. We want to learn about who you are honoring! We encourage participants to take pictures at the event and post them on social media. For a chance to be reposted tag us on Instagram @raceforgriefutah or on Facebook @raceforgrief

This is a great way for virtual participants to be involved!
As in years past, we encourage participants to make and bring a poster about your loved one to display at the event along as a pinwheel to line the finish as has been our tradition. (Virtual participants take a picture of your poster and post it so we can see!).
